Well, Jim, not sure where to submit the story, so I 'll tell it here.

My story is not like the ones submitted by the bikers, but still an interesting one to tell. We have shared this experience with many people.

2 years ago, I bought my husband, Jeff, a hobie mirage kayak...We have 2 children and all ready had a canoe. Thought it would be fun to take to the beach when we visit family in Pensacola. Boy was I right. We all love it...

Most recently, back in August 2008, our family and another family made a journey to the beach in Pensacola for a little R and R...Had no idea we would have such a FANTASTIC weekend at Johnson Public Beach. We loaded all, and I mean a truck full of all, to head out for a wonderful beach day. Took the hobie, and 2 other kayaks. Of course, as soon as we set everything down, someone approached us about the hobie. Had to know how it worked and all. Kindly, we gave our run down, as this happens A LOT!! Jeff and Mike had brought their fishing gear and set out into the wonderful GULF for some fishing. Cathy, Jeff and Mike and 2 of the kids were all out just tooling around in the kayaks and all of a sudden, a pod of dolphins showed up. Not only had we never experienced them this close, we had never seen this many so close. The kids were all beside themselves. They were feeding on the fish the guys were catching. In fact, while out, Mike went to take a fish off his line and this dolphin swam up from under him and took the fish. It was AMAZING!!! I mean, something that will probably never happen again. And for the kids to experience this, well, it was just breath taking. We all swapped places in the kayaks, changing out kids and adults and taking our turn, and believe it or not, the dolphins were so curious about us, they never left. This went on for at least 2 hours. I never got tired of watching them. They were in such a playful mood. There were babies and they were jumping out of the water right by us. Of course, nobody had a camera with them...So, no pictures except for the ones in our minds...The lifeguards came out on their boards just to make sure we weren't doing anything wrong, cause obviously, they hadn't seen anything like this situation before either...What a great day we had at the beach that day!! We have all 7 of us been to so many different places that are on the beaches, but not one of us could say that visits anywhere else were any better than our GREAT day at Johnson Beach in Pensacola...We will never forget it and look forward to the adventures we will have in our hobie this summer and future summers. Thank you, Cindy Alexander and Family Jeff, Case and Karley
